Speech Therapy covers a vast majority of all speech, language, and social language skills. This includes things like sound errors, vocabulary, following directions, and answering questions. During your initial consultation, a certified Speech Language Pathologist will work with you to narrow down your child’s specific areas of need and what needs to be assessed during the evaluation. They can also touch on therapy frequency, duration, and delivery model.
Does your child engage in undesirable behaviors due to difficulty communicating their wants and needs? Does your child have difficulty recognizing and regulating their emotions? If this sounds like your child, we offer consultations and observations along with parent coaching and training. We can help come up with a personalized system and/or strategies you can use with your child in your home so they are better able to communicate their wants and needs and regulate those big emotions.
Advocacy services are available to help you better understand your child’s educational plan and other documents. We will also provide you with accommodations and options you have and as a parent that you can for your child to set them up for success. During the initial consult, your advocate will ask you to briefly share information about your situation and what you would like to accomplish by using our advocacy services. Advocacy services are flexible and if we do not have an option listed, we can customize our packages to fit you and your child’s needs.
